Space is limited to 16 stitchers. This is set up for double occupancies. There are single accommodations available for an additional fee. ****It is very pricey, as they charge for double occupancy per room. Single beds - that may pull apart (or not) - are in each room.

                                     Still Stitching with Susan England 2026 Itinerary
                                       06 October to 17 October, 12 days, 11 nights 

This tour is a work in progress, we will be adding to and improving the content right up until departure, so some things may change.

Day 1 - London Heathrow - Stoke-On-Trent
Group meet up at London Heathrow. Visit Victoria & Albert Museum Storage Facility.
Day 2 - Stoke-On-Trent - Kendal
Guided tour of the Victorian Pottery Works, fun crochet exhibition “The Longest Yarn” which should be in Chorley in October and a visit the Cross Stitch Guild Warehouse where you will have the chance to shop. (We hope!)
Day 3 - The Lake District
Explore a fascinating Bobbin Mill before heading to the home of the great Victorian artist and critic John Ruskin - Brantwood House. We can also include a visit to the Quaker Tapestry.
Day 4 - Kendal - Nottingham
Visit Hardwick Hall, a magnificent Elizabethan Mansion, decorated with sumptuous tapestries and some fascinating embroideries said to have been made by the Mary, Queen of Scots and her ladies.
Day 5 - Full day Embroidery workshop with Kate Crossley
The workshop will take place at the Ruddington Framework Knitters Museum. 
Day 6 -  Nottingham - Brighton
Morning visit Standen House, a wonderful living example of William Morris and the Arts and Craft Movement.
Day 7 - Brighton
Morning visit the exotic Brighton Pavillion built by the Prince Regent. Afternoon explore the vibrant streets of Brighton with its many Vintage and Antique shops.

Day 8 - Brighton - Portsmouth - Winchester
Drive along the south coast to visit the Overlord Tapestry Exhibition. Inspired by the Bayeux Tapestry; it tells the story of the World War II land invasion of Europe. Continue on to the lovely Cathedral city of Winchester. Nearby is Cawton, the home of Jane Austin.

Day 9 - Full day Embroidery workshop with Lorna Bateman at her lovely home. 

Day 10 - Winchester - Oxford
 We will have plenty of time to visit the Reading Museum where they have a Victorian Embroidered copy of the Bayeux Tapestry. We could also drop into Lady Sew and Sew in Henley, a large fabric shop. The rest of the day will be free to enjoy Oxford.
Day 11 - Oxford
Morning explore the Cotswolds, dropping in on Witney Antiques to see their magnificent display of Museum Quality samplers. There will be plenty of time for last minute shopping.
Day 12 - Transfer from Oxford to the Airport for your flight home.
